A Tale of Two Bellas

Where do I even start? It was the fall of 1998 back when I had my princess phase. (This is your older Bella by the way, but if you truly know me you already knew). I was three, almost four years old, sitting at the table enjoying my lunchable back when it came with a SODA. Yes! Maybe I was dreaming but damn, that was an amazing f*cking soda. I was all of a sudden interrupted in the middle of all my little hot dog glory because of a tiny human who would soon be my baby sister. I remember this moment like it was yesterday, and we have photo evidence to prove just how proud I was to be a big sister. Little did I know, my many years of life would soon wreak havoc because of this little prick.

Inseparable since birth and we did nothing but argue. At her being less than a year old, and with my hair down to my a**, she got right up in there and pulled a chunk out so big I was damn near bald! I'm assuming by memory that this is where it all started. I guess you could have told my parents that a 4 year age gap was entirely too long. Little did I know at the time she would soon be the best friend I could have ever asked for.

So let’s skip all the gushy stuff and flash forward to 2018. It had been a solid 20 years with my sister. It was seriously the best of times and the worst of times all at the same damn time. But hey, at this time in our lives it was not easy. Both out of high school now and living the lives of true adults. We both had babies at this point and debts were piling as high as a stripper’s stack of dollar bills made in a YEAR. That’s a lot of dough! How the hell were we supposed to catch up, let alone get ahead? I honestly don’t remember how we got on the subject, but we decided to start a small business venture in our hometown.

Our first debut was in the small town of Coffman Cove for their annual Holiday Bazaar. Man, were we a joke! A display of just 5 of our 12 oz tunneling candles at a 50% discount because we didn’t know what the hell we were doing at the time. Did we bring tickets or a legit sign? F*ck no! So we ran to their small store and sticky notes it was! We did three drawings that day and I could distinctly remember how cheesy our video giveaways were, along with my extremely high-pitched customer service voice. Even bringing two toddlers was a straight mess. Cheeto stains all up on our new white tablecloth and non-stop running around, it was crazy. But the point is, we kept trying and we never gave up.

Just two years later, look at where we are now! I mean, holy sh*t! If you were to tell us where we would be two years from that holiday bazaar we probably would’ve just laughed in your face. We have now opened the doors to many endless possibilities that lay before us. It took soo much patience and a ton of trial and error, but we soon mastered our formulas! We now offer 10+ products that are unique, homemade, handcrafted, and some that can be customizable. We are finally moving in the right direction we were hoping for in the first place! (Between us, let's just lay that first bazaar behind us and keep moving forward eh?)

All jokes aside though, we could never give enough of our gratitude for everyone who’s helped or given advice along the way with our ever-growing business. All in all, each and every one of you is amazing and we couldn’t have done any of this without you! We’re still not exactly where we want to be, but definitely not where we used to be either. Not quite stripper stacks, but definitely not dirt broke either. Baby steps!

Just keep on keepin' on!
